Circuit Training

Tired of spending hours on a treadmill, elliptical,  or some other piece of cardio equipment?  Mix things up a bit with circuit training!  For those of you who don't know, circuit training is performing different exercises one right after the other with minimal rest in between sets. It is proven that circuit training is just as beneficial as traditional forms of cardio and burns almost identical amounts of calories as fast walking.  It's a good way to add variety to your workout and get the benefits of both cardio and resistance training!

Here's an example of a circuit workout:
  1. ball squat
  2.  ball dumbbell chest press
  3.  lat pulldown
  4.  dumbbell scaption (snow angels)
  5.  ball dumbbell tricep press (skull crushers)
  6.  crunches
  7. optional: biking/walking/running for 5-10 min.
  8. rest for 30-60 seconds
Repeat steps 1-8, 2-3 times for a complete circuit.
